CTTE Gyan Khoj Book Launch Event @Anna Centenary Library.

 

An inspiring day, the release of "Arum Urum" at the "Gyan Khoj" book launch event of CTTE College library, a book dedicated to the rivers of Tamil Nadu, is one of its kind.

The event took place at the Anna Centenary Library (ACL) Book Release Hall, a fitting venue with its vibrant atmosphere and rich resources, perfect for celebrating literature and the pursuit of knowledge.

Prof. Dr. Sasi Kanta Dash, Principal of Tagore College, Pondicherry, delivered a powerful presidential address, emphasizing the critical need for environmental conservation. He shared inspiring stories of transforming barren lands into thriving green spaces.

The event proceeded with the principal, Dr. Sasi Kanta Dash's, launched the book “Arum Urum” and our correspondent, Thiru. L. Palamalai, a retired IAS officer, received the first copy.

Dr. Kasthuri from the Language Department provided an insightful overview of the book, which delves into 120 rivers of Tamil Nadu, drawing fascinating parallels with iconic rivers like the Thames and the Nile.

Author Bhumii Gnanasoorian passionately spoke about the urgent need for river conservation and the collective action required to protect these vital waterways.

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, showcasing the students' enthusiasm and commitment to environmental issues.

The event was a resounding success in raising awareness about river conservation. The event served as an educational and motivational platform, encouraging attendees to take concrete steps towards safeguarding our environment and preserving natural resources.

Pesum Pommai - Book Launch @ CTTE College.....

 

 

 

The CTTE Maryland Library, under its GYAN KOSH initiative, in collaboration with Ilaikkiya Solai monthly magazine and Solai Publications, hosted the book launch of "Pesum Pommai" written by author Mrs. Ramalakshmi Murugan on August 24, 2024, at CTTE college for Women

The event was presided over by the honorable former Justice Mr. S. Rajeshwaran, who served as the chief guest.

While discussing the book "Pesum Pommai," he emphasized the importance of individuals needing to act as "talking dolls" in various situations, highlighting the book's valuable insights for the younger generation.

Dr. Sumuki Padmanabhan, the librarian of CTTE Women's College, received a copy of the book. Mr. Solai Tamizhiniyan, editor of the Ilaikkiya Solai monthly magazine, coordinated and presented the event.

Dr. P. Anitha, Professor of the Tamil Department, delivered a thoughtful book review, emphasizing key excerpts and discussing the author’s writing skills and the essential life lessons conveyed in the work—lessons that are crucial for today’s society.

சென்னை: செவாலியர் டி.தாமஸ் எலிசபெத் மகளிர் கல்லூரியும் அமெரிக்காவைச் சேர்ந்த பசுமைக்குடி நிறுவனமும்  உயிர்மை  பதிப்பகமும் இணைந்து 28.6.2024 அன்று பன்னாட்டுக் கருத்தரங்கத்தை நடத்தியது .. சி.டி.டி.இ மகளிர் கல்லூரியின் மொழித்துறைத் தலைவர் முனைவர் க.பிரீதா அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை வழங்கினார்.

 இக்கருத்தரங்கில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கவிஞர். மனுஷ்யபுத்திரன் கலந்துகொண்டு கருத்தரங்க ஆய்வுக்கோவை நூலை வெளியிட்டார்.   சி.டி.டி கல்வி அறக்கட்டளையின் தாளாளர் மற்றும் செயலாளர் திரு. இல.பழமலை (இ.ஆ.ப ஓய்வு )அவர்கள் தலைமை தாங்கி ஆய்வுக்கோவையின் முதல் பிரதியைப் பெற்றுக் கொள்ள நூல் வெளியீட்டு விழா இனிதே நடைபெற்றது. கவிஞர்.மனுஷ்யபுத்திரன் அவர்கள் உலகில் உள்ள அனைத்து ஊர்களும் நம் ஊரே என்ற கருத்தினை எடுத்துக் கூறியதோடு அனைத்து வினைகளும் நம்மில் இருந்தே பிறக்கின்றன என்ற தத்துவத்தை இலக்கியத்தோடு ஒப்பிட்டு சிறப்புரையாற்றினார். சி.டி.டி கல்வி அறக்கட்டளையின் தாளாளர் அவர்கள்  செவ்வியல் இலக்கிய நூல்களின் பரந்துபட்ட வாசிப்புத் தளத்தினூடே வாழ்வியல் ஒழுக்கக் கூறுகளைத் தத்துவ அடிப்படையில் எடுத்துக் கூறி தலைமையுரையாற்றினார்.

அம்பேத்கர் அரசு கலைக் கல்லூரியின் தமிழ்த்துறைப் பேராசிரியர் து.ராஜகுமார் கருத்தரங்க பொருண்மைகளை விளக்கியுரைத்தார். இக்கருத்தரங்கில் முப்பதுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட அறிஞர்கள் கட்டுரைகளை வழங்கி சிறப்புச் செய்தனர். நிகழ்ச்சியின் நிறைவாக தமிழ்த்துறை உதவிப்பேராசிரியர்  முனைவர் பா.அனிதா அவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி கூறினார்.

Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women Hosts Thought-Provoking Event - International Conference Explores Philosophical Dimensions of Seviyal Literature

 

The Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women with collaboration from Pasumai Kudi and Uyirmai Padhipagam arranged for an intriguing International Conference themed around “Thathuva Nokkil Seviyal Illakiyangal” (Seviyal Literature from a Philosophical Perspective). This Conference which was held at the College’s premises meant to investigate the deep-rooted philosophical aspects related to Seviyal Literature hence broadening the comprehension of participants drawn from different disciplines.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. K. Preetha, highlighting the significance of philosophical exploration within Tamil literature. D. Rajakumar, Assistant Professor at Ambedkar Government Arts College, delivered the keynote address, shedding light on the intricate interconnections between philosophy and Seviyal literature.

The first copy of the Conference Proceedings was unveiled by the well-known Tamil Poet Manushyaputhiran. In that address he talked about the philosophy principle that connects everything to everything else so well using very touching examples from Seviyal literature. The first copy of the Proceedings was given to the Managing Trustee and Correspondent, Thiru. L. Palamalai I.A.S (Retd.), representing the academic excellence of the conference.

The event was further adorned by the felicitations from Vice Principal Dr. P. J. Queency Asha Dhas and Mr. Narendren Kandhasamy, Founder of Pasumai Kudi, who emphasized the importance of integrating philosophical perspectives into contemporary discourse on literature.

Over 30 participants presented their meticulously researched papers, exploring various facets of Seviyal literature from diverse philosophical angles. The Department of Tamil at CTTE College for Women played a pivotal role in organizing this intellectually stimulating conference, fostering an atmosphere conducive to scholarly exchange and academic growth.
