Student Achiever's Award Ceremony

 The Student Achiever's Award Ceremony held on April 3, 2024, marked a significant collaboration between Arunthamil Kalai Nakkiya Mandram Manavar Ullam, Ilakkiya Cholai, and the Maryland Library.
This award ceremony was to honor students who have demonstrated excellence in various fields, including academics, the arts, sports, and community service.
Women's Special Edition of Ilakkiya Cholai Magazine, Released by the Renowed Tamil Poet, Head, Chennai Local Library Authority, Thiru. Manushyaputhiran. Students from our college who wrote articles that were published in the magazine were given certificates.
The Student Achiever's Award Ceremony yielded significant outcomes, affirming its profound impact on the student community. Firstly, by recognizing outstanding achievements across various domains, the event inspired pride and motivation among attendees, fostering a culture of excellence. Secondly, the speeches delivered by esteemed guests imparted essential values of hard work, determination, and passion, guiding students towards their aspirations.
The presentation of awards symbolized both individual accomplishments and collective dedication, encouraging others to strive for success.






Media Literacy Workshop- American Library- 9.3.2024

 

 

 The Media Literacy Workshop on March 9, 2024, was organized by the “American Library” in Chennai. The students of our college from various departments enthusiastically participated.
The event was conducted by Mrs. Induja Ranganathan. The students had the opportunity to explore the American Library resources, and around 23 participants who attended the event found it to be enriching and beneficial for them. 

They had the opportunity to learn more about the media and its pros and cons. It was a great sight to see students actively engaging in such events and gaining valuable knowledge and insights.




Chennai Literary Fest, 27th to 28th February 2024

 The Chennai Students Reading Forum organizes the Chennai Literary Fest  in Anna Centenary Library from February 27th to 29th, 2024.
Our staff and students from I B.Com. General and II B.Sc. (Computer Science and Psychology) nearly 250 students participated in the event.
 The festival aims to promote reading culture, encourage literary discussions, and provide a platform for both established and emerging writers to showcase their work. Various filmmakers, writers, and artists expressed their knowledge and expertise through their participation. The students had the opportunity to learn and appreciate different perspectives. Certificates were issued to all the participants and college organizers.



Library Literary Fest program: February 9, 2024

 The "Library Literary Fest” program was conducted on February 9, 2024, in association with Arunthamil Kalai Illakkiya Mandram Manavar Ullam. The chief guest of the day was Prof.Dr. R. Seetha Lakshmi, former principal of Quiad-E-Millath Government College for Women, who highlighted the importance of women empowerment, quoted various women leaders, and distributed Best Teacher Awards to faculty members who excelled in their field. 

The program enhanced the creative skills of the students by conducting various competitions. Thiru. Cholai Tamileniyan, Editor, Ilakiyacholai Magazine, and Thiru. Vasudevan, Secretary, Ilakiya Mandram, spoke about the importance of women leaders and the importance of reading skills.
